'Bennett’ was formed by Richard Bennett in Redditch in 1935 with the first Bennett spring coiling machine being produced in 1945 (for which spare parts are still available!). In 1957 the T.I.Group purchased the company and then David Mahler bought it in 1983, changing the name to Bennett Mahler Ltd.

Today the company is still based in Redditch, one of the main centres for Springmaking in the UK, and operates from a purpose built factory located close to the M42 motorway, and less than 30 minutes from Birmingham International Airport. We design, manufacture, and assemble the machines at this factory.

We specialise in the manufacture of spring making machinery making a complete range of spring end grinding machines to cover wire diameters from 0.2 – 60 mm as well as the range of Maxicoil spring coiling lathes, first manufactured in 1974, and other specialist items such as chamfering machines and auger coiling machines.

Bennett spring coiling and spring end grinding machines are exported all over the world. We also sell and refurbish used springmaking and wire bending machines of many makes and models as well as representing both Simplex Rapid (Spring coiling machines – www.simplexrapid.it ) and Numalliance (wire and tube bending machines www.numalliance.com ) in the UK market.
